Winter Running

Winter has arrived so its time to get on my winter kit, hat and gloves and start getting used to cold weather running in preparation for January.

I planned to run  on Tuesday, but didn’t make it out because I had to wait in for a delivery all day.  The package finally turned up at 7.30pm by which time I was resigned to being a couch potato and had opened a bottle of red.

Had a great run this morning to and around Hyde Park.  Dry and cloudy and not too cold out.   It’s a pity the sun wasn’t out to complete the picture of a beautiful winters morning in the park.  As it was my first run/exercise since military fitness on Monday my legs were fresh and I felt good.

Distance/time:  6.5 miles  64 mins

Embarrassing moment:  tripping on the pavement outside local school.  Damage done to pride only!
