I got up and went for a run. 1/31 of janathon running successfully completed.
No snow, fog or excuses. Running made easy and far more enjoyable by having company. They are staying another day so we’ll be round the loop again tomorrow. (Note to self: have runners as overnight guests every day in January!)
Location: Isle of Wight. Circular, undulating route on country roads from Whitwell to Niton. 3.86 miles in 39 mins. A gentle start to the new year and janathon at a moderate pace. The loop is one that I have run many times taking from 43 mins, when I started out, to my fastest time of 34 mins last summer.
Sights: 1 red squirrel.
Happy New Year and Happy Running!

Sounds like a nice route, though for now I’m sticking to flat ones.

I might want a flatter route too when the initial enthusiasm wears off!
