Sabotage

Janathon Day 13.

I could tell it was the 13th day of Janathon as my running plans kept being sabotaged.  I couldn’t run first thing because my legs ached from yesterday so instead I planned to run about 4 miles in the afternoon when they’d loosened up.

However, attempt No 1  was postponed by having to go and pick up a grumpy teen who didn’t have his oyster card or any money.  On attempt No 2,  I trot out to find it is now dark and it’s pouring with rain.  Fairweather self scurries back inside with some excuse to change tops… The phone rings.  Attempt No 3.  By now its 5.50pm and if anyone in my house was going to get fed before 7pm I had at best 20 to 25 mins for my run.  So 4 miles became 2.

On the bright side, if it hadn’t been for Janathon I wouldn’t have run at all today so I shouldn’t be disappointed at my shortened run.   There are, after all, 18 more days of janathon left to run in!

2.14 miles   22.39 mins

Janathon Totals:

13/31 days run   44.04miles   4154 calories

  1. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I doubt Paul Radcliffe has such issues, well doen for getting out despite it all.
