What a diference a day makes.

Janathon Day 18.

Today’s run in Hyde Park is best described by these Lyrics …

Mr Blue Sky, by ELO

Sun is shinin’ in the sky
There ain’t a cloud in sight
It’s stopped rainin’ ev’rybody’s in a play
And don’t you know
It’s a beautiful new day hey,hey

Runnin’ down the avenue
See how the sun shines brightly in the city
On the streets where once was pity
Mister blue sky is living here today hey, hey

Mister blue sky please tell us why
You had to hide away for so long
Where did we go wrong?

Hey you with the pretty face
Welcome to the human race
A celebration, mister blue sky’s up there waitin’
And today is the day we’ve waited for

Hey there mister blue
We’re so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do
Ev’rybody smiles at you

Mister blue sky, mister blue sky
Mister blue sky

Mister blue, you did it right
But soon comes mister night creepin’ over
Now his hand is on your shoulder
Never mind I’ll remember you this
I’ll remember you this way

Mister blue sky please tell us why
You had to hide away for so long
Where did we go wrong?

Hey there mister blue
We’re so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do
Ev’rybody smiles at you

  1. Lucky you blue skies, must lay in bed tomorrow so I can run under them also.

  2. I echo the above, or I need to run at lunchtime, and there is no shower at work so that would be a tad antisocial. Awesome mileage, happy day 19

  3. I’m jealous! Running either to or from work at this time of year means that I’m always running in the dark 😦

  4. how wonderful! I’m dreaming of blue skies… 🙂

  5. We saw ELO supporting Jack Johnson a few years ago – they were pretty good. Katy suggests the song “Girl I Wanna Lay You Down” which apparently isn’t as dodgy as it sounds, but rather nice!

  6. Love ELO love this song best – lucky you with blue skies – I saw grey this morning, black tonight…
