…but after running 25 days in a row with Janathon not by nature! Motivation is all that’s needed and this week I’ve got plenty as I should reach my 100 mile goal in the next day or two.
At lunchtime today when I stepped outside it had started raining. I am proud to report that I paused only briefly to grab my gilet and carried on with my run. The rain gave me a few technical issues because at one point when I touched my iPhone it cancelled the run! I did think about Steve and Katy’s theory that the faster you run the less wet you get but I just relaxed and enjoyed it at a steady pace. By the time I reached Hyde Park it was raining quite hard and I had a big grin on my face. I saw a hardier breed of runners out today and we all smiled smugly as we passed each other twice while running the same loop of the park circumference in opposite directions.
Some of the twinges in my shins, calves and ankles returned today and in parts my running gait was a sort of forward shufle/stumble! Hopefully nothing a bath and some ibuprohen gel won’t cure!
6 days to go and counting…
6.32 miles 64.29 mins
Janathon Totals:
25/31 days run 94.68 miles.

Gratz on defying your name and going running in the rain, and good luck polishing off the last few miles to get to your century.

There’s nothing better than a smug run… you can happily skip by people’s houses thinking ha ha ha… I’m outside being all healthy and smug! Well done! 🙂
