Marchathon Day 1.
This morning I decided that I’d had enough of being dragged down by my cold/lurgy. I told it that it was over, I’d had enough and it had to go. Then I went for a run. It is March after all, and after my poor running performance in February (27 miles total compared to 125 miles in January) , I realised that I must have a challlenge to keep up my running.
So I have a new personal challenge – Marchathon. Just like Janathon but in March. Shame the weather isn’t a little more spring-like!
I’ve not run for over a week or exercised for 6 days so my legs were ache free and fresh. Couldn’t say the same about my wooly head! I probably made my usual mistake of going off too fast in my enthusiasm to be running again because after the first mile I felt a bit woozy and my lungs were burning. I didn’t plan to run too far just to blow off the cold and get myself going. I think it did the trick, I was suitably red and sweaty by the end and it certainly cleared the old head – I’ve not needed a tissue since!
Day 1 sorted: 3.46 miles 31.35 mins
Playlist: Audiofuel gridmix plus plenty of un-rhythmic sniffing
Goodbye cold – hello Marchathon!
