I’ve had a few distractions today. Some work deadlines, having my sons home all day (school was closed for the entrance exam) and going out to get a nice new shiny iPhone to play with!
I therefore missed BMF (enjoyed a lie in until 8.30!) and postponed my run to the last opportunity going out early evening. No kit issues tonight, i grabbed what I took off yesterday (Eeww!) and went to do the same loop in reverse without the extension. I kept my run to 3 miles tonight because I was feeling very jelly like! Yes, I really felt like I was running in a jelly body! I think that was a combination of slight light headed-ness (dehydrated/not eaten enough) with wobbly/weak feeling legs and glutes (I really have to stretch and foam roller more or I’ll get injured again).
My Achilles also hurt a bit today and yesterday. I think its due to a pair of inflexible boots I’ve been wearing. I work from home part-time, so haven’t got dressed out of running kit or PJs much at all this Janathon! (Who needs clothes? Sshh, maybe I shouldn’t say that if my hubble or mother are listening!). But yesterday and today I’ve been out and about and had to get properly dressed! My normal foot wear, which are far from high-heeled and inappropriate, are however a bit inflexible and my ankles really don’t seem to have liked them at all. Roll on Summer, they want flip-flops! For the rest of Janathon I’ll stick to my Kinvaras!
