1000 km

Yesterday I got out for a second attempt at my long run.  I left it until after 6pm, took lots of water and tried to keep to the shade.  It was still hard work and my legs were far from fresh, but it was so much better than Sunday!  I managed 8.32 miles and am now feeling more confident about TR24 at the weekend and my night-time double lap!

During that run my mileage to date in 2012 passed the 1000km (or 621 miles) milestone which was my total in 2011.  At the end of last year I quietly challenged myself to run 1000 miles (1600km) in 2012… barring injury, with my marathon training it looks like I might make it.

Monthly running mileage 2011, 2012.

  1. Wow that is amazing! You have to be pleased with that!

  2. Well done you! Keep it going….

  3. Congratulations! (I am slowly trying to reach 1000 as well so I am with you on how hard it can get to push yourself to go out there on hot/cold days/nights…)

  4. Well done – keep it going x

  5. Excellent. That is quite a challenge.
