That make them a non running day. I suppose it’s because my plan says rest on Mondays but I go to BMF so instinctively my body insists on rest! I also normally have a busy day catching up with the work I didn’t do on Monday, because I spent half the morning at BMF and having coffee, so find fitting in a quick run is harder.
I’ve looked back at my training diary for the past few months and most of my rest days or days I planned to run but didn’t are all Tuesdays! So I now have a challenge for the next 2 Tuesdays in January- Run!
Today I had every intention of running. I thought a short recovery run of 3miles would be about right. I missed my early opportunity by fafing about tidying and writing my todo list and because both Sons were off school and we had a few plans we then got on with everything and before we knew it it was dark. Where do the days go? By then I was feeling hungry, had a bit of a headache so I got on with feeding us all and embraced a rest day.
Today I have however really enjoyed the novelty of getting up, washing my hair, and being dressed in normal clothes with makeup all day for the first time this year! And it’s my mothers birthday so I had a glass of wine. Happy Birthday Mum!
